  1. 1

    Preparation

Before you begin, protect your workspace by covering the surface, such as the table you’re using. Thoroughly clean the Advent candelabra with a microfiber cloth to remove any dirt or residue. For tougher grease stains, a paint cleaner can be used to ensure optimal results.

Clean your advent candelabra with a microfiber cloth

Start by sanding all the areas of the candelabra you plan to paint, using P120 grit sandpaper. This step ensures a slightly rough surface for better paint adhesion. Once finished, use a microfiber cloth to thoroughly remove any sanding dust.

  2. 2

    Masking

Next, it’s time to mask off the areas you don’t want to paint, such as the candles and the cord. To ensure no paint splatters on them, it’s a good idea to mask the entire candles.

    Prime

Now it’s time to start painting! Begin with a coat of adhesion primer. Use an angle cut brush for the larger, flat surfaces and a precision brush for the details. Let it dry before proceeding.

Now it’s time to repaint your Advent candelabra in a color you like! Use woodwork paint, and just like before, apply it with an angle cut brush on the larger surfaces and a precision brush for the details.
