Clean the wall
Clean the wall
Before you start, wash away dirt and grease from the wall so that the paint adheres properly.
-
2
Protect the floor
Place plastic sheeting on the floor to protect against paint splashes. Attach the plastic cover over the skirting boards so that the paint cannot run through.
-
3
Spackle
Putty over any holes in the wall. Allow the putty to dry and then sand away edges and unevenness with a sanding tool.
-
4
Mask
Use a ruler and masking tape to create different stripes and surfaces on the wall. Choose quality tape that gives really sharp paint edges.
Tip!
Press the masking tape firmly against the wall so that paint cannot creep through. Also, don't stretch the tape too much. -
5
Paint
Paint the surfaces in the desired shades. Use a brush to get precision in corners and along edges, and paint the large areas with rollers.
Now all that remains is to remove the masking tape. Now you can enjoy your striped wall!
