Repainting a tray – how to, step by step

    Preperation

    Start by sanding the surface of the tray with sandpaper to create a rough texture, which helps the paint adhere better.

    Then, wipe away all sanding dust with a microfiber cloth. Use masking tape to create the pattern you desire on your tray. Your creativity is the only limit here!

    Now it’s time to start painting! Use a felt roller for the large, flat surfaces and a smaller angle cut brush for the details.

    Once the first coat of paint has dried, apply another layer. Be sure to remove the masking tape before the paint is fully dry.

    Remove the masking tape while the paint is still wet to ensure clean lines and prevent peeling.
